The Reserve Builder Showcase Program:
It has come to my attention that many people have questions or concerns about my decision to leave the Builder Program, and the answer is two-fold.
Let’s take a moment to review what the qualifications are to be in the program, and then the answer will become clearer. Two of the main parameters to be in the program are as follows: the builder must own property in the Reserve, AND the builder must pay 1% of the building costs to the Reserve (2% if an outside broker is involved) for being in the program. With a cap of $15,000 per home. For example, if I build a home for $800,000 I must then pay the Reserve $8000 to be in the program.
In this continued time of economic uncertainty I decided not to own property that I may not be able to liquidate quickly if needed, and I did not want to charge my clients an additional 1% - 2% for the build of their home. This in no way changes my ability to build in the Reserve, or changes the quality of home I build. In this time of “transparency” I wanted all to know the reasons I have elected not to continue in the program.
